Ventilated façade: sustainable, attractive and long-lasting

Pamesa Cerámica’s porcelain stoneware used to clad ventilated façades is an ideal solution for buildings that want to combine aesthetics, efficient insulation and environmental sustainability.

The durability, resistance and versatility of this material all contribute to its high quality, guaranteeing durability, resistance to atmospheric conditions, versatility of finishes and low maintenance.

This sustainable solution brings an array of added value advantages: two layers are separated so as to form an air chamber, the internal layer taking care of thermal insulation and keeping the building watertight, and the external layer, essentially designed to provide the cladding for the building and allow constant ventilation through the air chamber. A ventilated façade system is therefore recommended for various reasons:

  • Thermal protection: it provides efficient insulation against extreme heat. It also reduces the thermal transmission coefficient and eliminates thermal bridges.
  • Energy saving: thanks to lower air conditioning and heating consumption (up to 30% less) and optimal use of the thermal inertia of the building shell.
  • Acoustic insulation: it reduces noise from outside by between 10 and 20%.
  • Barrier against water: guarantees maximum protection, eliminating possible condensation and offering maximum waterproof levels according to the Spanish Technical Building Code, CTE (R3 B3)
  • Durability and aesthetic quality: a wide range of colours, textures, finishes and  formats are available.
  • Functional and aesthetic properties: allows building features (conduits, drainpipes, cables, etc) to be hidden in the ventilation chamber and eliminates any irregularities in the façade.
  • Low maintenance and easy cleaning.
